About Me

I am not going to tell you a story about my high school and collegiate athletic careers, because there were none. Sure I was a on a field team my sophomore year and I threw javelin around a field, but I was terrible. I was not fast enough to make it onto the track team, and in fact I really hated running, and most sports in general.

In college I gained bunch of weight due to the unlimited buffet style dinners and 6-pack curls. Oh yeah, and lack of any activity. I did go to the gym occasionally and I would see some progress, but then I would just stop and everything would go back to the way it was.

Throughout my 20s I dabbled in some running, as I knew it was good for me. I did few 5Ks and played soccer in an amateur league for few years, but again it was really nothing serious. It wasn't until our first child was born that I seriously committed to training for something bigger than a 5K.

In 2011 I ran my first 10 mile race, The Broad St run in Philadelphia. I was hooked. In 2012 I ran my first marathon, and while it was painful I knew I had to do more.

In 2013 I did my first 50K and now I am a proud member of the crazy ultra running community.

In between my family time, chasing the kids around and working in the IT field to fund my running problem, I try to get as much training as possible while juggling the schedule with my ultra runner wife.
